Yuzhou Rongyu: A Fusion of Oriental and Western Design

Yu Chao and Guanghui Zeng's Award-Winning Sales Center Design

The design draws its inspiration from the color of glazed tiles, creating a sense of dignity and directing attention to a glass screen printed with a plum pattern. This screen is suspended in the center of a Corinthian pillar, a characteristic of Western architecture, symbolizing the fusion of cultures. The red tone, symbolizing joy and festivals in Chinese culture, dominates the color scheme.

Yuzhou Rongyu stands out for its unique display of objects combined with local culture. The wall ornaments and furniture form a sharp contrast, while the ceiling and ceiling lights reveal different perspectives from various angles. The project covers an area of 887 square meters and uses special materials such as art customized wall covering, dark wood floor, Caesar green marble, and silver foil.

The sales center is designed to help customers understand the newly constructed buildings and houses better. It provides an overview of the construction plan and allows customers to interact with sales managers for any queries or purchases. The design is a result of transforming three consecutive villas into a sales center, a process that took about two months in Fuzhou City, China.

The primary challenge in realizing this design was integrating Oriental and Western cultures to showcase the uniqueness of the space. This integration is a tribute to culture and respect for history. The design also integrates nature, reinforcing the idea that culture has no boundaries.

Yuzhou Rongyu is a testament to the remarkable expertise and innovation of designers Yu Chao and Guanghui Zeng. The project, admired for its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcases a remarkable level of excellence and introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder. It is indeed a deserving winner of the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020.
